I'm neurodivergent, how can talking about it help me?

Living as an adult with a neurodivergent brain is not easy. The biggest advantage you can have is knowledge. Understanding yourself and the way your brain works means you can use the right tools for the right circumstances. Not understanding, not knowing, might mean you are giving yourself a hard time when you don't need to. 

How often should I have sessions? And is there a limit?

It is completely up to you. I see some clients every two weeks or every month, but we can find a routine that suits you and your needs. The amount of sessions and the frequency is up to you; we can discuss what suits you and your life best. You can have as many or as few sessions as you like. 

What happens during a session?

Each session is tailored to you and your needs in that moment. You might bring something to the session you'd like to discuss, or you may not know what you want to talk about. Either way, we will talk, discuss, and consider tools or skill work that might help. Wether you have a direction or need help finding one, we will explore the options together.

I'm not sure where to start!

That's okay and very common! It's my role to help steer and guide you. Sometimes just talking will lead you to where you need to go, we can explore that together.

How will I know if this will help me?

We are all human, we have to try things before we can know if it is the right thing for us or not. This is why I offer a half-hour free taster session for you to get to know me and how I work, and for me to hear what it is you are struggling with. Together we can determine whether or not this is right for you, and if not, I will direct you to somewhere better suited to your needs.

Is what we talk about confidential?

Everything we discuss is considered privileged information. This means I cannot share this information with anyone outside the privileged relationship without your explicit consent, except for three circumstances: if you or others are in immediate danger, there is suspected abuse of vulnerable person/people (e.g. child or elderly), and lastly in legal cases where the court requires information.
